Introducing The Tack Attic

Our retail partner The Tack Attic is open for business! It is a consignment store selling quality used tack and apparel for horse and rider. Betsy Coburn-Porter, Owner of The Tack Attic, started working at Strafford Saddlery in 2021 and discovered a passion for consignment. As a result of her years of experience, she can find you and your horse the best items at a great price! We are working closely with The Tack Attic to supplement their offerings with new products, such as helmets and gloves!

Favorite Product at The Tack Attic:
Now in stock at the TACK ATTIC is the OVATION GEL GIRTH. This is my
favorite girth. Can’t be beat for sensitive horses and the price is excellent. This
girth was brought to my attention by Daryl Kinney and Union Station. The great,
grey gelding was super sensitive and after many girths with bad outcomes, Daryl
asked to try the Ovation Gel Girth. It’s a nylon synthetic girth that is shaped with
elbow relief. It has a gel insert in the center so is cushion over sensitive nerves
and cartilage. The double elastic makes for even tension on the saddle but is
forgiving for the expansion caused by breathing, as during a gallop or cross
country ride. Now available at the Tack Attic, and at Strafford Saddlery by clicking here.

SSG gloves: don’t despair about your rancher gloves or the grippy technical glove, we will be carrying them in the spring. And more helmets in time for show season. Note: helmets can only withstand one fall/blow. If you have fallen, please consider a new helmet. And if your helmet is older than 3-5 years, likely you need to replace it. Fit matters: and Betsy can help you with that. We will be restocking helmets at the Tack Attic in the coming months.

The Tack Attic and Strafford Saddlery will be working together to be sure
riders can still find locally what they need. We will continue to work to
meet demands as they arise!
