Strafford Saddlery is looking for enthusiastic horse people with a passion for providing a great customer experience. This role is focused primarily on helping customers find the products that fit their needs. In addition, you will help with receiving and stocking merchandise, preparing web orders and keeping the store looking great.

You should have:

  • Experience with horses and familiarity with competitive or recreational riding
  • A good understanding of the types of products we carry (we will train you on specifics)
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Past retail, sales or customer service experience is helpful but not required.

  • This is a part-time position (10 - 25 hours/2 - 4 days per week). We offer a flexible schedule that includes some weekends, hourly wage, product discounts and performance bonuses.


    Strafford Saddlery is looking for a SALES TEAM LEAD, a key team member focused on customer service and store operations. For the right person, this position could grow into a management role with additional responsibilities.

    This leadership role is responsible for:

  • Collaborating with other staff to deliver outstanding customer service
  • Creating a safe, comfortable and attractive store environment for customers and staff
  • Managing processing of web and phone orders
  • Coordinating third-party services (blanking cleaning, repairs, engraving and embroidery)
  • Ensuring store operations run effectively and efficiently

  • This is a year-round position (approximately 30 - 40 hours per week), based in Quechee, Vermont at our retail store. Related experience is helpful, but we are more interested in individuals who are upbeat, organized and collaborative, with the ability and desire to contribute.
