Community Support
Strafford Saddlery supports many facets of the equestrian industry through a variety of activities, including direct financial support, matching donations, show prizes, silent auction donations, and more.
We are a proud sponsor of many recognized and schooling events and horse shows in Area I and beyond, including Hitching Post Farm Horse Trials, Huntington Farm Horse Trials, Groton House Farm Horse Trials, GMHA Festival of Eventing, War Horse Event Series at the Carolina Horse Park, Twitchell Hill Hunter/Jumper Shows, CVDA Dressage Shows, and more.
We support equestrian organizations and non-profits, including GMHA, CVDA, USEA Area I, VHJA, Susan G. Komen Ride for the Cure, Changing Leads Foundation, and High Horses, through business memberships, fundraising, and awareness activities.
We are thrilled to back the competition goals of up-and-coming individual and team riders at national and young rider levels with a variety of sponsorship programs.
We recognize that horse sports have a history of being inaccessible to those from low-income communities and communities of color. We want to support groups and barns actively working to reduce these inequalities through programs that engage individuals who might not have the resources to participate otherwise. Our goal is to contribute to the inclusion and longevity of our sport, to ensure it endures. As recreational riders and serious competitors, and everything in between, we want to make it possible for people to enjoy the sport that has made a difference in all of our lives.
We hope to be a resource for those also committed to increasing diversity and inclusivity in the horse world. Please don't hesitate to email with additional resources, ideas or questions. Click here to send an email to Annie
Changing Leads Foundation
Strafford Saddlery is pleased to announce support of Changing Leads Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to introducing horsemanship to at-risk youth. Changing Leads partners with therapeutic riding barns to teach riding and horsemanship through week-long, summer and year-round programs, with a goal of making the horse world more inclusive, accessible and available to those who come from disadvantaged backgrounds.
We applaud Changing Leads focus on helping young men and women from different backgrounds experience the life-changing benefits of horsemanship.
We're pleased to make it available for customers to donate needed items through online purchases of gloves, boots and helmets. If you would like to donate an item, please see the options below! Choose "Pick Up" at checkout and place your order like usual.
